5 Weeks 2 Go~

We are nearing our 35 week mark with our 2nd pregnancy. & It really hit me just the other day when I was thinking, "Wow..I've been pregnant for 8 months, and only have 1 more to go." It was an extremely emotional moment for me.. realizing this could be the last time I'm ever pregnant!!! We are getting very anxious to meet our little girl! Giving Kai all the love and attention we possibly can before her arrival~ :)
We wonder who she'll look like? Or who's traits she'll strongly hold?
Kai looks so much like his daddy- but hold so many traits that both Cory and I both hold----
I just cant believe that we are near the END.
Wondering if I'll even make it 40 weeks?
So many questions, but one thing is for sure. WE ARE READY~

6.7.12

See, there I go. Wanting to post a favorite memory of my everyday life and the minute I talk about doing it.. Is the minute I forget about my blog. :(

Well, lately I have had so many favorite moments.. I wish I had written a favorite part about every day. . . Bummed!

To make up for lost time, Lately Cory and I just cant come to terms with how big our little guy is getting. :( He's nearing 2 in a half and we are just so happy with who he is.
For instance, today... I was on the computer adding things to Emee's registry and Kai was laying on the floor to my left watching his cartoons and heavily into  playing with his cars and trucks. . . When I sneezed and he instantly said, "Bless you Momma!"- and I said, "Thank you Kai" and He said, "Your Welcome." .. Makes me so proud to be his Momma.

He has grown to be a fierce little person with so much character. Very sure of what he wants, and so funny just like his dad.

We love him dearly.

5.24.12

Well, It's not even 7AM yet and I've already had a favorite memory.
We are so lucky to have such a goofy spirited little boy~
He keeps us constantly laughing!
This morning at 6:15AM- My alarm goes off, and moments later... I hear Kai from his room a little angry- yell.. AHHH... MOMMM!! and as usual I get up and hurry to him to see what's going on.. and he is standing by his bedside, and says "I PEE'd THE BED, ACCIDENT, I PEE'D THE BED" It was just the cutest darn thing.. I told him- It's okay you were sleeping, it was just an accident.. changed him and took the wet blanket off his bed and layed him back down.
What a blessing he is, thank you Lord. <3 We love him so much~

5.21.12

Today, Kai and I had two Dr. Appointments we had to get to all before noon. Before appointments, we usually always stop by the Country Donut shop in Medford. This morning, I decided to switch that up and try a mommy and Kai trip to McDonalds for some breakfast. Things like this make me feel so lucky that I am able to spend my days with him, rather than at a workplace. He was so sweet, as we sat side by side. He wanted pancakes (His favorite). My little best friend. We have shared so many special moments together, and look forward to a life of many more. :)

Favorite Daily Moments~

All of my life, I have wanted to keep a journal but as always I get about 5 days into it and forget to continue writing. I'm really enjoying this blogging idea and I also love that it is on a website and cannot be destroyed. I also, can stop and continue whenever I'd like. Instead of trying to journal a few pages every night of what my day was like.. I'm going to attempt to write just a paragraph or two of my most favorite part of the day. In hopes of doing this everyday- I know that is probably not going to happen, but I will be happy with just a few days a week.. I know my kids will appreciate having it to look back on when they are my age. :)

Potty Training ~

What an adventure it has been. We have now started training at 3 different times of Kai's life and RIGHT NOW- was the best, because it didn't take him longer than 2 weeks to get it. With bribery of potty candy, his parents making him feel totally proud and plenty of accidents.. He finally understands. I think the best part of it all is when I give him sentences to use: He uses them and I believe that is what helps the most- That he is able to converse with us what he needs to do.
"I have to pee."
"I have to poop"
"I made a poop"
When we flush he says- "Bye bye pee pee"..and "Poo poo"
Out of all the stages we have started and tried at this one is by far the best- He isn't quite 2.5 yet and is potty trained by 3 years old. :)
We have Emee coming in about 9.5 weeks and I was determined 2 weeks ago to get him potty trained, thinking it would take the full 10 weeks.. but he is down to no accidents.. (Very rare for him to pee at night) We just have to work on him UNDERSTANDING- He needs to get out of bed at night- come get me and we will go potty when he has to go. . . ? That seems like an adventure all within itself.. But we will get there too. :)
I love these little stages that seem never ending, and when they end.. I feel so proud of Kai, myself and Cory..

Favorite Things Friday: Co-Blogging for Crystal Huntsman!

My "someday" sister in law ;) blogs and every Friday she posts a few of her favorite things and explains why they are her favorite. I'm going to hop in and write about a few of my favorite things for her, by "co-blogging."
Hope you enjoy!

1. Burberry Brit by Burberry: This is one of my all time favorite perfumes! I just cannot seem to wear it enough, and I have a pretty nice collection.. but this one always gets my pick~ :) It's a light and sweet smell that goes a long ways.
2. Almond Poppy Seed Muffins: Now, I'm 28 weeks pregnant.. So, I definitely have to add one of my favorite food delights to the list. . . and this is it. I was out grocery shopping last week and saw this pack of 6 HUGE almond flavored poppy seed muffins- with 360 calorie for only 1/2 of a muffin. I'm a SUCKER for poppy seed muffins so I bought them. They are delicious. :) Now, I know everyone doesn't have these awesome muffins to buy that come cooked and wrapped at the store, but you can easily prepare them yourself or use this easy box of Krusteaz Almond Poppy Seed Muffin mix. :) These are just as tasty. . .
3. Seeds of Change: http://www.seedsofchange.com/
My love for this company started out when I received a notice of getting $75 worth of all different kinds of Organic seeds for just $5. Thought that was great.. When planted- they grow amazing, tasty vegetables and not to mention they are 100% Organic seeds and when used with Organic soil/fertilizer you get organic veggies! I was shopping in Walmart last night and noticed that you no longer have to buy them through site or catalog.. because they are a part of Walmart's inventory now. Thought that was awesome too. All you organic people should give them a try!~

I figured 3 is good for now, Til next time... :)

Meet Opie~

Opie is Kai's new buddy that I will be watching Tuesday-Friday!~ Kai used to have his other buddy Rush around about 50 hours a week, and when I stopped watching him- I'm sure he missed having a friend around besides mom and dad all the time! Today was our first day with Opie, he is 1.5 years old and such a cutie. He is very lovey and would hug you all day if you let him!~ He picked on Kai most of the day, which Kai isn't used to- but I was very proud of my boy- every time Opie would hit Kai, Kai would never hit back.. He would just come and tell me that he had been hit and he had an owie.. Made me so proud.. :)~ We had a really great day- it was nice to see Kai have a little friend to play with again, and we have two more days with him til the weekend...

Our new favorite Salad~

  • We've been slowly turning to organics & all natural to better our health!~
  • & I wanted to share an awesome salad we are newly addicted to!! Keep in mind- we are still switching over, so not everything we eat is organic... but soon it will be~

  • To start off, we use organic romaine and mix in some organic spinach-
  • Peel an organic fuji apple and dice same with avocado.. add in all natural raisins, cheese, sunflower seeds, black beans and croutons at the end. These salads don't have the croutons or avocado yet.. but they did!~ :)
  • Drizzle All natural open nature's balsamic vinaigrette on top.. :) YUM!~

Our sweet Emee's Room~

Here is an updated picture of Emee's Nursery~
We still have so much to do, but thought I'd update the blog with a picture of what it is so far!~ :)

A new love for Gardening~

I started off a small gardening project last year off the side of the front porch- A cherry tomato plant,  a cucumber plant and a pumpkin plant.. Not knowing very much about gardening or if my seeds would even sprout.. I walked by days later to see they had sprouted. Never in my life did I think that sprouts would bring such excitement to my life, but it did! By the end of summer my cherry tomato plant had gotten HUGE, and was producing cherry tomatoes daily! My son also loved going out there to pick them off and eat them.. :) He probably ate more than I could even bring inside. :) & I believe that is how his LOVE for cherry tomatoes started!! My cucumber had produced about 4 nice cucumbers, but I had not given them a trellis or anything.. so they were just growing sideways onto the porch and I ended up plucking the plant out. The pumpkins grew WILD. We had so many, but heard if we cut back most of the plant, we would have large pumpkins.. Well, we did that but only got about 4 medium sized pumpkins. They were beautiful!!! :) That is when I told myself I had a year to read up on gardening, because I knew I wanted that fabulous garden you see in magazines!
Cory has been amazing, he has built me 3 garden beds and created a BEAUTIFUL gated area in our backyard that is my peaceful, happy little gardening area. It's April of 2012, and out in 1 bed I have 2 row of radish growing, 2 rows of carrots and we are waiting for my 3 heads of lettuce to sprout up? I have started my cherry tomato plant, slicing tomato plant, strawberries, cucumber and beans inside and cannot wait to transplant them outside when the soil warms up!~
I know my son and I will have a blast watching the garden grow and plucking all the yummy veggies. :) It's so exciting, and I will post as new things start to happen and I will also post new recipes we make w. the use of our colorful garden veggies!

Preparing for Emee Joan. . .

Preparing for our sweet girl has been a journey within itself. Kai may not now or ever really understand what the heck we are doing or who we are even talking about.. but he watches my belly grow everyday, rubs and talks to it like knows.. :) We hope that all the talking and preparing has helped Kai to better understand what is really going on.. that he will soon be a big brother! Her nursery has been a huge thought process with so much hard work and love put into it. We cannot wait for it all to be finished and to bring our sweet girl home!~
